Towards the end of the year 2382 the USS Endurance a Nebula class cruiser limped into dock with major damage to almost every system, to start with at least the cost to refit and repair her was calculated and it was decided to be to great a cost and the Endurance was scheduled to be dismantled for bits. But just before her scrapping date a new proposal was recieved by Starfleet Command. In this plan she was to be used as a test bed for a new set of upgrades planned for Nebula class cruisers throughout the fleet. The proposal was passed and her refit began later that Month. The Endurance spent almost two years in dry dock recieving her refit and upgrades Until early 2385 when they where complete.

As the USS Predator was taken into Dry Dock for her own extensive refit just after the Endurances refit her crew and CO where taken off of her and where due to be re-assigned to ships in need throughout the fleet. The Endurance being one such ship would probably recieve a few. But Captain Thompson who was the Predator Previous CO and had now recieved the Endurance as his new command persuaded Command to give him back his crew in its entirety as they where his team.

The Predator and her crew had made the Papers throughout the federation over and over for beating back pirates and rogue klingon ships and searching down and taking out serial killers. With this new ship and her extra facilites what will the Endurance crew do now?
